My New Quad-core System

Quadcore My old P4 3.0 Ghz system had finally gone super slow and it was time to change just a few days ago got a new System Built to replace the older one and it really is a SYSTEM because the older PC didn’t even have a Graphic Card and whenever I switched it on it sounded like Jet Rocket and that sound was unbearable here are the Specifications of my new System :

Processor is Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad-Core Processor, 2.40 GHZ, 8M L2 Cache, LGA 775

Motherboard is Intel D975XBX2 Intel Core 2 Duo Ready Socket 775

Graphic Card is  GeForce PCX 8500GT   512MB (128-BITS)       FATAL1TY EDITION

Hard Disk : 250GB 3.5" HDD 7200RPM 8MB Cache (ST-3250820A) while in the old PC I had 2 80,80 GB Hard disks but having 2 hard disk makes the System a bit slow so I had to copy all of my data from the older disks to the new one

While the RAM is Kingston 3 GB  also got an MSI TV Anywhere TV Tuner card fitted but must say that the Picture quality is pretty bad and the software is so buggy i basically needed a TV Tuner card to record my favorite BBC Programs.

Setting up everything (software , drivers etc) took very long but copying of data from the older hard disk was surprisingly fast may be due to the Quad-core Processor ;) , then I had to install all of the software’s some of the software’s were out of date so needed to download and install new ones which took hours and then updated Windows from the Microsoft Update Site ,then downloaded all of my emails and it took 2 days to setup everything due to the dial up Internet that I have, now I have finally gotten some time to write a new Blog Post.
